Proudly Committed A decisive step toward Sustainability In 2023, RIU Hotels presented its Proudly Committed sustainability strategy, which represents a turning point for RIU. A transformation is underway that puts sustainability at the centre of all the company’s decisions. Proudly Committed is the title that lets the whole organisation, all our employees, our customers and society know that RIU is taking a definitive step towards sustainability. What’s more, it is also the name of the new sustainability strategy that will be implemented between 2024 and 2026. Corporate Social Responsibility is no longer just a department; from now on it will be a cross-cutting function. RIU is proud of many things. It has achieved excellent levels of customer satisfaction and great results, and this is a global achievement that was made possible by everyone’s hard work and effort. It now faces the challenge of maintaining the same results, but with different processes, products and requirements to ensure that its impact on the community and the environment is as positive as possible. Proudly Committed represents RIU because it is a serious, professional and reliable company. It only announces targets that it knows it can meet. And if it announces them, it puts all its efforts and resources into delivering on these commitments.
