ES Pocos podrían pensar no hace mucho que aquellas piezas de madera empleadas tradicionalmente en el embalaje y transporte de mercancías podrían tener un futuro como piezas de mobiliario. Los palets han obteni- do una segunda oportunidad por parte de varios diseñadores y fabricantes de muebles que han visto en ellos la base ideal para pro- ducir piezas realmente originales. La firma Mind Made, por ejemplo, realiza todo tipo de muebles y accesorios partiendo de estas bandejas de carga de madera.

EN Few people would imagine a wooden object traditionally used for packing and transporting goods could be given a new lease of life as furniture. However, the hum- ble pallet has attracted the attention of vari- ous furniture designers and manufacturers who have recognised it as the ideal base for producing a range of highly original items. The company Mind Made, for example, makes all sorts of furniture and accessories based on these wooden loading trays.

DE Bis vor Kurzem hätten sich nur wenige vorstellen können, dass jene Holzteile, die üb- licherweise für Verpackung und Transport von Waren verwendet werden, noch eine Zukunft als Möbelstücke haben könnten. Die Paletten haben dank verschiedener Designer und Mö- belhersteller, die in ihnen die ideale Grundlage zur Herstellung origineller Stücke sahen, eine zweite Chance erhalten. Die Firma Mind Made beispielsweise baut aus den hölzernen Trans- portbrettern die unterschiedlichsten Möbel und Accessoires.

ES El boom de la impresión en 3D se ha convertido en un reclamo incluso para el sector de la hostelería. Cadenas como FabCafe, con locales en Tokio, Taipei o Barcelona, entre otras ciudades, permiten a sus clientes tomarse un café o picar algo mientras esperan a que sus creaciones se impriman en 3D. Además de impresoras, estos establecimientos disponen de escáner en 3D y cortadoras láser.

Neben Druckern verfügen diese Orte auch über 3D Scanner und Laser Schneidemaschinen.
