EN If there’s one thing that distinguishes London, it’s the sheer number of adjectives used to describe it. Cosmopolitan is one of the most common. But the British capital has many other sobriquets: modern but traditional, noisy, chaotic (at times), open... but above all, fun. In recent years, traditional tourist attractions like the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, stopping for a selfie beside a red phone box and a trip on the London Eye have been complemented by a host of other activities that are fast turning into must-dos for visitors to the city. They range from a tour of the locations where Harry Potter was filmed, taking in the skyline from the 244-metre observation deck at the top of the Shard, through to enjoying the shops and pubs in Shoreditch, the trendy new neighbourhood in East London that has become an essential calling point for visitors. Kosmopolitisch ist wahrscheinlich eine der Eigenschaften, die der britischen Hauptstadt am häufigsten zugeschrieben wird, aber es gibt noch viele weitere: modern und zugleich traditionell, geschäftig, chaotisch (manchmal), offen, aber vor allem: unterhaltsam. Denn zu den allseits bekannten Sightseeing-Tipps wie der Wachablösung am Buckingham Palace, dem Foto mit einer roten Telefonzelle oder einer Fahrt mit dem London Eye sind in den letzten Jahren weitere hinzugekommen, die ebenfalls bereits zum Pflichtprogramm gehören: Die Tour zu den Drehorten von Harry Potter, aus 244 Metern Höhe von der Aussichtsplattform im The Shard auf die Stadt hinabzuschauen oder in Shoreditch, dem trendigen Stadtteil East Londons, auf Shopping- und Pubtour zu gehen. ES Si por algo se caracteriza Londres es por la cantidad de adjetivos a los que se recurre para tratar de definirla. La de cosmopolita probablemente sea una de las características que más se suele atribuir a la capital británica, pero hay muchas otras: moderna a la vez que tradicional, bulliciosa, caótica (en ocasiones), abierta, pero, sobre todo, entretenida. Porque más allá de sus conocidísimos planes turísticos, como el cambio de guardia en Buckingham Palace, la foto junto a una cabina roja o la subida al London Eye, en los últimos años se han sumado otros planes que se han convertido también ya en clásicos londinenses.
