Miami has important cultural attractions such as theatres, museums, parks and centres of performing arts. The most recent addition is the Adrianne Arsht Center of the Performing Arts opened in October 2006 with the name of the Carnival Center, is the second largest in the United States after the Lincoln Center in New York arts and is the home of the Florida Grand Opera. Moreover, the Miami City Ballet, the dance of the State of Florida company, usually represent their works at the Jackie Gleason Theater, among others. El Knight Concert Hall is the second room of the Arsht Center seating 2,200 people, downtown also features the theatre Carnival Studio and the Peacock Rehearsal Studio.
