EN There are strong marriages, marriages made of iron and then there is the marriage between Horst and Riu Palace Palmeras. This is the 14th time the metalworker from Salzgitter in Germany has stayed at the hotel. He’s joined by his partner Susanne, who is also in love with the hotel and the island. “We feel at home here. We love it and we wouldn’t change it for the world,” comments Horst as he enjoys a drink in the Lobby bar with terrace. It’s their second visit this year and they’re planning to return for a third. It’s also their first time at the fully refurbished hotel. For Horst, the change has been positive in many ways. “The hotel was always comfortable but after the refurbishment it’s simply magnificent. It’s more luxurious, the rooms are more spacious and modern, there are more tables on the terrace of the main restaurant and we love the new environment.” DE Es gibt starke Ehen, eiserne Ehen und dann ... die Ehe von Horst und dem Riu Palace Palmeras. Zum 14. Mal wohnt der Metallarbeiter aus Salzgitter (Deutschland) im Hotel. Er ist mit seiner Partnerin Susanne hier, die ebenfalls das Hotel und die Insel liebt. „Hier fühlen wir uns fast wie zu Hause. Es gefällt uns im Hotel sehr und das wird so bleiben“, sagt Horst bei einem Getränk in der Lobbybar mit Terrasse. Es ist ihr zweiter Besuch in diesem Jahr - einen dritten wird es auch geben - und zum ersten Mal genießen sie das komplett renovierte Hotel. Eine Veränderung, die laut Horst in vielerlei Hinsicht ein Plus darstellt. „Ich fand es vorher schon ein einladendes Hotel. Aber ich muss gestehen, dass die Renovierung wunderbar gelungen ist. Alles ist luxuriöser, die Zimmer sind jetzt geräumiger und moderner, es gibt auch mehr Tische auf der Terrasse des Hauptrestaurants und uns gefällt die neue Atmosphäre sehr“. son ahora más espaciosas y modernas, hay también más mesas en la terraza del restaurante principal y nos encanta el nuevo ambiente”. Es la 14ª vez que este operario metalúrgico de Salzgitter (Alemania) se hospeda en el hotel. Lo hace con Susanne, su pareja, otra enamorada del hotel y de la isla. “Aquí nos sentimos casi como en casa. Nos encanta y no cambiamos”, dice Horst mientras disfruta de una bebida en el Lobby bar con terraza. Es la segunda ocasión que vienen este año –habrá una tercera– y por primera vez están disfrutando del hotel totalmente renovado. Un cambio, según Horst, que añade un plus en muchos aspectos. “Antes ya me parecía un hotel acogedor; pero tengo que reconocer que la reforma es magnífica.
