ES Desde que se conocieron en la universidad, las cuatro amigas siguieron caminos y carreras paralelas. Todas ellas habían conseguido llegar a lo más alto en el escalafón directivo y ahora, cuando cumplían 50 años, sentían la necesidad de hacer un alto y tomarse unos días de relax para celebrar sus éxitos y su cambio de década. Nunca les había interesado la aventura. Preferían ese relajante cóctel de mar, sol, hamaca y un buen libro que tanto las ayudaba a escapar del estrés cotidiano. Así que cuando se plantearon dónde ir de viaje, las cuatro amigas lo tuvieron claro: las Maldivas.

EN Ever since they had first met at university, the four friends had followed different paths, pursuing parallel careers. All had managed to reach the upper echelons of the corporate ladder. Now, just as they were turning 50, they had felt the need to take some time out and unwind for a few days to celebrate their achievements and the start of the new decade. They had never really been interested in adventure. They much preferred the relaxing cocktail of sun, sea and sand, together with a hammock and a good book, which helped them escape the stresses of their day-to-day lives. When the question arose of where to go on holiday, the four friends already knew the answer: the Maldives.

DE Seit sie sich an der Universität kennengelernt hatten, verliefen die Wege und Karrieren der vier Freundinnen parallel. Sie hatten es alle in die höchsten Führungsebenen geschafft und verspürten jetzt, da sie die 50 erreicht hatten, das Bedürfnis, eine Pause einzulegen und sich ein paar Tage Entspannung zu gönnen, um ihre Erfolge und das neue Lebensjahrzehnt zu feiern. Das Abenteuer hatte sie nie interessiert. Sie bevorzugten diesen erholsamen Mix aus Meer, Sonne, Liegestuhl und einem guten Buch, der sie den Alltagsstress so hervorragend vergessen ließ. Und so war für die vier Freundinnen die Antwort auf die Frage, wohin sie verreisen sollten, eindeutig: auf die Malediven.
