que éramos una pequeña empresa familiar en Playa de Palma, hasta nuestra expansión internacional. Proyecto a proyecto, Ramón y yo hemos ido creciendo profesionalmente juntos. A día de hoy, Ramón Arroyo lidera el equipo de técnicos e ingenieros responsables de las auditorías de los hoteles, además de ayudar en las obras de reforma y las aperturas. Su labor es esencial para el negocio. Que falle una sola cosa supone que un hotel no pueda operar. Así de crucial es su trabajo. Y después de tanto tiempo, y a sus 65 años, es inevitable hablar de su jubilación. Afortunadamente, todavía no ha llegado el día de las despedidas, pero para estar preparados, contamos con una muy buena cantera de técnicos, alineados con la filosofía de trabajo en RIU. Pero de lo que no me cabe duda es de que, cuando llegue el momento, echaremos de menos las risas, las canciones y la alegría de Ramón.

the inside out. Fromwhen we were a small family business in Playa de Palma through to our international expansion. Project by project, Ramón and I have grown together professionally. Ramón Arroyo currently manages a team of technicians and engineers who are responsible for auditing our hotels and supporting refurbishment work and launches. His hard work is essential to the business. If something goes wrong, it could result in the hotel not being able to operate. That’s how crucial his work is. And after such a long period of service, at the age of 65, it’s inevitable that our thoughts turn to his retirement. Fortunately, however, it’s not time yet. But when the time comes, we already have a strong team of technicians closely aligned with the RIU philosophy. I’ve no doubt that when he retires, we’ll miss Ramón’s laughter, songs and cheerful demeanour.

Ramón die gesamte Geschichte von RIU aus dem Inneren der Hotels heraus miterlebt. Seit wir ein kleines Familienunternehmen an der Playa de Palma waren, bis hin zu unserer internationalen Expansion. Projekt nach Projekt sind Ramón und ich gemeinsam auf beruflicher Ebene gewachsen. Heute leitet Ramón Arroyo ein Team von Technikern und Ingenieuren, die für die Kontrolle der Hotels zuständig sind, und wirkt auch bei den Renovierungsarbeiten und Neueröffnungen mit. Seine Arbeit ist für uns unerlässlich. Ein einziger Fehler könnte dazu führen, dass ein Hotel nicht betrieben werden kann - so entscheidend ist seine Arbeit. Und nach so einer langen Zeit, und da er nun 65 Jahre alt ist, ist es unumgänglich, über seinen Ruhestand zu sprechen. Zum Glück ist der Tag des Abschieds noch nicht gekommen, aber um darauf vorbereitet zu sein, verfügen wir über eine sehr gute Technikerschmiede, in der die Arbeitsphilosophie von RIU gelebt wird. Doch einer Sache bin ich mir sicher, nämlich dass wir, wenn der Zeitpunkt gekommen ist, das Lachen, die Lieder und die Fröhlichkeit Ramóns vermissen werden.
