Dakar ES Dakar no solo da nombre a la capital de Senegal, sino también a uno de los rallies más famosos del mundo: el Rally Dakar (que antes se llamó París-Dakar). La gran metrópoli de Senegal es una ciudad viva, bulliciosa, llena de mercados y lugares de ocio, y con una vibrante vida nocturna. Desde ella se puede visitar la isla de Gorée, de la que partían los esclavos a las colonias americanas, declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en 1978. Visitors will find Senegal’s buzzing metropolis full of life, with its wide range of markets and leisure spaces, complemented by a vibrant nightlife. There are also boat trips to the Island of Gorée, from where slaves were sent to the American colonies and which was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1978. Von hier aus kann man die Insel Gorée besuchen, von der aus die Sklaven zu den amerikanischen Kolonien verschifft wurden. Sie wurde 1978 von der Unesco zum Weltkulturerbe erklärt.
