Saint-Louis ES A unos 200 km al norte de Dakar se encuentra Saint Louis, a la que algunos han bautizado como la Nueva Orleans de Senegal y que fue antaño capital del país. Fue el primer asentamiento francés en Senegal y eso marcó el carácter colonial de su arquitectura. Por ello fue declarada Patrimonio Mundial por la Unesco en el año 2000. It was the first French settlement in the country, a past reflected in its colonial architecture, which earned it UNESCO World Heritage status in 2000.
