ES Dice el pedagogo, pensador y dibujante italiano Francesco Tonucci (popularmente conocido como Frato) que los aprendizajes más importantes de la vida se realizan jugando. El proyecto de inversión social que RIU está llevando a cabo junto a Save The Children México es una muestra palpable de esta máxima. La iniciativa se puso en marcha hace 3 años con la instalación de dos ludotecas en el estado de Quintana Roo, al sureste del país. La primera de ellas, ubicada en Cancún, se abrió en diciembre de 2019. La segunda, en Playa del Carmen, abrió sus puertas en febrero de 2020. Desde entonces, por allí han pasado más de un centenar de niños y de niñas de entre 6 y 12 años, la mayoría de ellos hijos e hijas de trabajadores de servicios turísticos, que no disponen de espacios ni de medios para su cuidado durante su jornada laboral. Muchos de ellos, además, proceden de contextos de alta vulnerabilidad social. EN For the Italian thinker, education expert, and cartoonist Francesco Tonucci (affectionately known as Frato), we learn some of life’s most important lessons from playing. RIU’s social investment project in partnership with Save the Children Mexico is living proof of this idea. The initiative was launched 3 years ago, with the creation of two toy libraries in the state of Quintana Roo, in the southeast of the country. The first is located in Cancun and was opened in December 2019. The second is in Playa del Carmen and opened its doors in February 2020. Since then, over one hundred children between six and 12 years of age have benefited from the spaces. The majority are children whose parents are employed in the tourism sector, without access to spaces or resources for care when they are at work. However, many also come from backgrounds of high social vulnerability. DE Der italienische Pädagoge, Denker und Karikaturist Francesco Tonucci (der allgemein als „Frato“ bekannt ist) sagt, dass die wichtigsten Lernprozesse im Leben beim Spielen stattfinden. Das gemeinsame soziale Investitionsprojekt von RIU und Save The Children Mexiko ist ein konkretes Beispiel für diese Maxime. Die Initiative wurde vor fast 3 Jahren mit der Einrichtung von zwei Kinder-Tagesbetreuungen im Bundesstaat Quintana Roo im Südosten des Landes gestartet. Die Erste davon befindet sich in Cancun und wurde im Dezember 2019 eröffnet. Die Zweite öffnete im Februar 2020 in Playa del Carmen ihre Türen. Seitdem haben sie mehr als hundert Kinder im Alter von sechs bis zwölf Jahren besucht, wovon die meisten Kinder von Beschäftigten im Tourismussektor sind, die nicht den Platz oder die Möglichkeit haben, sich während ihres Arbeitstages um sie zu kümmern.
