todo un acierto. Allí, por ejemplo, fue donde verdaderamente ampliamos, mejoramos y definimos nuestra oferta Todo Incluido. México es un destino que nos ha dado muchísimas oportunidades y satisfacciones. Pero lo que no sabíamos es que, además, nos iba a salvar durante la época más difícil que ha atravesado la industria turística en su historia. Gracias a la política de apertura que mantuvo el Gobierno mexicano, pudimos abrir y mantener abiertos los hoteles desde los primeros meses de la pandemia de la COVID-19. Y eso es lo que ha permitido a la empresa mantenerse a flote. Por eso no nos cansamos de decir que a México le debemos mucho. Y por eso no puedo concluir este texto sin una afectuosa mención a todos los profesionales con los que hemos trabajado durante este tiempo, a nuestros proveedores, a nuestros clientes mexicanos, pero también a las autoridades locales, estatales y federales por trabajar de la mano con las empresas para desarrollar su visión del turismo.

back. It was in Mexico that RIU’s expansion really gathered steam and it was there where we defined and perfected our signature all inclusive service. It’s a destination that has given us so many incredible opportunities and so much satisfaction. What we didn’t know, however, is that it would also be our salvation during the most challenging period ever faced by the tourism industry. The Mexican government’s decision to keep the country open meant we could keep going and save our hotels right from the first months of the pandemic. All this has allowed the company to stay alive. And that’s why we owe so much to the country. Therefore, I cannot conclude without reiterating my heartfelt gratitude to everyone we have worked with over the years: to our suppliers, to our customers in Mexico and also to the local, state and federal authorities for having worked hand in hand with the business sector to develop a shared vision of tourism. Thank you to all of them. I’m delighted to be celebrating these 25 years in Mexico – I trust there will be many more to come.

Mexiko unser nächstes Ziel. Und es war die richtige Entscheidung. Dort haben wir zum Beispiel unseren All-inclusive-Service erweitert, verbessert und perfektioniert. Mexiko ist ein Reiseziel, das uns viele Möglichkeiten eröffnet und Freude bereitet hat. Was wir jedoch nicht wissen konnten, war, dass es uns auch in der schwierigsten Phase, welche die Tourismusbranche je erlebt hat, retten würde. Dank der Öffnungspolitik der mexikanischen Regierung konnten wir bereits in den ersten Monaten der COVID-19-Pandemie Hotels wiedereröffnen und weiter betreiben. Und dies hat es dem Unternehmen ermöglicht, sich über Wasser zu halten. Deshalb können wir nicht oft genug betonen, dass wir Mexiko vieles zu verdanken haben. Und daher kann ich diesen Text nicht abschließen, ohne allen, mit denen wir in dieser Zeit zusammengearbeitet haben, einen herzlichen Dank auszusprechen: unseren Lieferanten, unseren mexikanischen Gästen, aber auch den örtlichen, bundesstaatlichen und nationalen Behörden, die mit den Unternehmen an der Entwicklung ihrer Vision vom Tourismus eng zusammengearbeitet haben. Danke an alle. Wir sind 25 Jahre gemeinsam diesen Weg gegangen, und viele weitere warten noch auf uns.
