ES Extensas playas de arena blanca y aguas turquesas, frondosos palmerales, arrecifes de coral, ritmos de bachata y merengue y una deliciosa gastronomía compuesta de arroces, frijoles, mariscos y pescados. Así es Punta Cana. Aquí uno entiende por qué Colón afirmó que había llegado a “la tierra más hermosa que ojos humanos hayan visto”. En medio de esta zona, situada al este de la República Dominicana, se encuentra el Riu Republica, un resort en el que el agua es el auténtico pro- tagonista (y ahora, con la incorporación del nuevo parque acuático, todavía más) y donde el descanso y la relajación son compatibles con las numerosas actividades de ocio y en- tretenimiento de este hotel solo para adultos. Interrumpimos por unos minutos a tres de nuestros huéspedes para que nos cuenten sus experiencias: todos buscan descanso, pero cada uno lo entiende a su manera.

EN With its vast, white-sand beaches and turquoise waters, leafy palm forests, coral reefs, and bachata and merengue rhythms, not to mention its delicious cuisine of rice, beans, seafood and fish, it’s no wonder that when Christopher Columbus reached the Dominican Republic he famously remarked that he had arrived at the “most beautiful land ever seen by human eyes.” Located in the east of the country, Riu Republica is a resort where the water really is the star of the show (even more so with the launch of the new water park) and where rest and relaxation go hand in hand with the numer- ous leisure and entertainment activities at this adults-only hotel. We interrupted three of our guests for a few minutes and asked them to share their experiences. Each was seeking rest and relaxation, but in their own special way.

Das ist Punta Cana. Hier versteht man endlich, warum Kolumbus sagte, er habe „das schönste Land, das das menschliche Auge je erblickt hat“, erreicht. Inmitten dieser Gegend im Osten der Dominikanischen Republik befindet sich das Riu Republica, ein Resort, in dem das Wasser klar die Hauptrolle spielt (seit der Erö nung des neuen Wasserparks mehr denn je) und wo Erholung und Entspannung sich mit zahlrei- chen Freizeit- und Unterhaltungsaktivitäten dieses Erwachsenenhotels kombinieren las- sen. Wir haben drei unserer Gäste gebeten, uns kurz von ihren Erfahrungen zu berichten: Alle suchen Erholung, aber ein jeder versteht diese auf seine Weise.
