EN Ramón and Carmen, both from Santiago de Compostela in Spain, first fell in love with Lanzarote 20 years ago. “We like it because it’s a volcanic island with beautiful spots,” explains Ramón. They have explored almost all of the island and stayed at all the RIU hotels in the Canaries over the past two decades. They’ve been loyal to the chain since 1997. Both are delighted with the results of the refurbishment. For Ramón, it’s a huge change. The hotel has gone from having a “noble and classical style to one that’s more modern and above all comfortable.” For Carmen, “the staff are key: the people who work at the hotel are like family to us.” In addition to taking part in the activities run by the RIU staff, the couple enjoys the trips organized by the hotel. años. “Nos gusta por ser una isla volcánica y porque tiene muchos rincones preciosos”, dice Ramón. De ser un hotel “de estilo noble y clásico ha pasado a ser uno moderno y muy confortable”. Para Carmen, el personal es la clave. “Para nosotros, los trabajadores del hotel son como de la familia”. A este matrimonio le gusta ir a las excursiones que organiza el hotel, así como participar en las actividades que prepara el equipo de animación. Dieser Hotelkette sind sie seit 1997 treu geblieben. Beide sind davon begeistert, wie das Hotel nach der Renovierung aussieht. Ramón ist der Meinung, dass die Veränderung enorm ist: Aus einem Hotel „mit einem edlen und klassischen Stil ist ein modernes und sehr komfortables Hotel geworden.“ Für Carmen sind „die Angestellten das Wichtigste. Für uns ist das Hotelpersonal wie eine Familie.“ Beide nehmen gerne an den im Hotel buchbaren Ausflügen und an den vom Animationsteam durchgeführten Aktivitäten teil.
