Ese disco sirvió a David Bowie para presentar a su alter ego Ziggy Stardust y acabó por consolidar en lo alto de la cima de la historia de la música al cantante británico. Londres suena a música, así que abramos bien los oídos, pero también los ojos, al recorrerla, porque seguro que en el camino toparemos con más de un sitio que guarda relación con alguna de las páginas más memorables de la historia de la música.

EN Camden is also home to legendary concert halls such as the Roundhouse, where bands like The Doors and Sex Pistols played, among others. And, of course, Amy Winehouse’s house, where she spent her last years. In another neighborhood of the city, Kensington, specifically in Logan Place, we find Garden Lodge, the former residence of Freddie Mercury, and now a place of pilgrimage for Queen fans. On our walk through the most musical London there is another place that no music lover can miss. It is located on Heddon Street, a side street near Piccadilly. At number 23, a plaque recalls that the photo that served as the cover of the mythical album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars in 1972 was taken there. That album was David Bowie’s chance to introduce his alter ego Ziggy Stardust and ended up consolidating the British singer’s position in music history. London sounds like music, so open your ears, but also your eyes, when you walk through it, because surely on your way you will come across more than one site that is related to one of the most memorable pages in music history.
